Creating a menu in your WordPress website is an integral part to creating a meal plan in your diet. As mentioned earlier, having a diverse and balanced diet is good for health, so doing this on a weekly basis can help increase your health and fitness levels.
Many people use the automated system calledWP generator. This gives you several menus to choose from, as well as some recipes to add into each menu. You can also create your own recipes, if you would like!
This article will go more into detail about how to do it manually, using the WP editor. Most people use WPDeck or WP-recipes now-day, but we will talk about how to do it manually later.
Expand menu categories
If you have a lot of content, the first step is to expand the menu categories. This allows your visitors to easily find content similar to what they are looking for.
To create a new category, click the gear icon in the top right and select Webmaster Tools. Then select Category Management from the drop down.
Enter a new category name and choose how to categorize content. You can add and remove categories automatically, or create your own if there are no categories already.
Once created, visitors can easily add content to it! They can even tag other posts or use custom criteria to determine what content belongs in this new category.
Add menu links
Now it is time to link your menu links. Create a new menu called Main Menu and add a link to the first menu item, SubMenu One.
Now you can add additional submenu links, called submenu items. Each one of these can be accessed via the links in the parent menu.

Check link structure
Once you have your menu set up, it is time to link it to your site. There are two ways to link a menu to your site. You can check the link structure for your site and make any changes if necessary, or you can manually update the links in your site.

WordPress offers two ways to create a new menu. The first is through the Widgetsize setting under Menu Widget Options. This must be set to something larger than the current one so that there is more space for content.
The second is through the Page Builder.
Create new pages for menu links
Once you have your menu set up, it is time to create new pages for your menu. You can do this by clicking on the plus sign (+) next to the page link on your home screen.
Then, click on Page > New Page to start creating a new page.
You will need to enter a title for your page and then finally click on the Create button at the bottom of the screen.
This will take you to a text editor where you can add your menus links.
Edit the page and add the menu widget
Now, you need to add the menu widget to your page. You can do this by clicking the gear icon in the header of your page, then selecting Widgets.
You will see a list of plugins and widgets, and you can select and add this one to your page.
This will create a new page called TheMenus, which will be where you access your menu items. Now, you can edit it and add the labels and menus!
This is very important – make sure you have these labels and menus defined before adding them to the page. If you forget, they cannot be added due to an error such as Not Found!
The last step is to update the Menus section of your site to show them.
Test the site and menus
Once you have your site set up, it is time to test it. Go to the top of your site and enter a link to your site in the left margin to make it visible to the Internet at large. Then go to a website or offline store and look for the products they sell.
Make sure these sites work and that people can find them using your menu! Also, make sure your menus look good together with each other. If one looks like a grocery store, put something electronic or computer-related next to it.
Ask users for feedback
Having a well-designed menu can be a fun way to learn more about your site’s functions. By taking user feedback on the site and in response to the site’s functions, you can make them more obvious and easy to find.
Many times restaurant owners use a survey tool like SiteRamp to create their menus. Using this data, they can go into their page and add items to the list, including how many times people order each item and what order they order them in.
This way, people who order the fish sandwich in one order may get it fresh that day!

Keep the site updated with new menus or updates to menus
You can add or update menus in your WordPress plugin or themes page. This is also true for new menu items you want to offer!
