Creating a new page or post in your WordPress account is a great way to refresh your website expertise. You can create a new page or post called What’s New, which will show you the latest content on your site.

Navigate to pages > new
Next, enter the new page or post name and then click save. You’re done!
Your new post or page will appear once you click on the + at the top to add another section.
Now that your new post or page is created, you can start adding content!
Adding Additional Sections to Your Post/Page
Adding additional sections to your post or page is done by adding a link at the bottom of your existing section. Once clicked, a drop-down menu will appear containing all of the available sections.

Recent changes to a page or post mean you’ll need to create a new page or post, respectively. You can do this either by deleting the old one and creating a new one from the same site or by creating a new one and adding your new content!
The easiest way to do this is to first create an account on your new site, then delete your old account on this site. You should now be able to create a new account on your newly created account!
Now that you have your new page or post, go back into WordPress and update it.
Enter in your page or post title
Next you will enter in your page or post content. This can be a short paragraph, long paragraph, or even a book if you have one!
Paragraph length is key here! Subtract about 30-35 characters from the end of your text to include the hyphen. That is how long the content should be.
WordPress uses a system called RSS to organize content. By including your website address in your post, WordPress will create an RSS feed that you can use to organize your website’s content.
Enter in your content
Once your page is created, enter in your content to make it live. You can do this either by entering in the URL of your page or post, or by entering in the content as you would type it into the text box.
Both formats work! It does not matter which one you use as both create the same results. The only difference is which one you enter in.
Entering in the URL of your page or post gives you an option to add a link to your new page or post, which is great if someone wants to follow your new page or post. Linking out is a way to grow your business!
As far as typing in the content as you would type it, that gives you some variations such as bullet point format, paragraphing, and list format.
Select options for your page or post
Once your site is created, you will want to select some options for your new page or post. Here are some tips for choosing these options.
Use the drop-down menu at the top of the page to choose your genre or category.

Make sure your link colors are clear and strong, so that people can easily find them if they need help finding you.

If you have a link to your new page or post, then you can also click publish and let the magic happen.
Mostly, though, you will want to take a minute to enter your email address so that you can receive notifications of new posts and pages.
This is important for creating mailing lists and for linking existing posts and pages. It also helps keep track of your content by giving you an email address that can be used to send content out.
Take a moment to set up your notification options too so that they work properly.
Click publish for posts
Now that your page or post is ready, it is time to publish! To do this, right-click your post and select publish. Your post will then be published and linked to on your page or in the sidebar!
If you made a page, now is the time to add some content. Click the add a new item icon next to the left column, then click content. You can then create any type of content you would like to share with your audience.
Your new content can appear on any relevant site or blog using WordPress, so long as you link back to your original site! This means your followers can view and engage with your content on any site linked back to yours.
Check your site to see your new content
Once your new page or post is up, it should be visible to the rest of your site. If it is not, make sure you checked your settings and formatting.
If your new content is not appearing in your sites listings, make sure you set up notifications for updates. You can do this by clicking the gear icon in the top right of your page and then selecting settings.
