A contact form is a way to get in touch with your target audience. By creating a simple form that users can submit their information through, you can integrate your site into the online World Wide Web.

Bullet point: There are many ways to integrate a contact form on your site. Some developers use contact forms as a way to collect email addresses, which is why they include this feature. Others use it as an opportunity to collect some additional information such as telephone numbers or virtual invites for events and that’s how they include it in the form.
Either way, having this added extra feature gives people another reason to visit your site and sign up for the newsletter or give them an opportunity to interact with your product or service.
Select the plugin features you want
Once your contact form is up, you’ll want to add it to your website. You can do this by linking it to the website or by adding it as a new feature.
Click on ‘activate’
Once your form is activated, you can now add a button to your page that says ‘send a request’. This will allow people to send a request for your product or service.
To add a button, go to the top of your page, under the blue button label, and click on ‘press here’. A drop-down menu will appear, where you can select which one of the buttons you want.
This is very important! If you have only one button, do not include the word ‘ Submit’ in it! Only include words that people would use to activate the button such as ‘ Send Request’ or something similar.
Select ‘plugins’ in the dashboard
After your form has been submitted, you will need to include a link to the contact form. This can be done by adding a link directly to the form or by linking it through email.
Either way, your visitors will need to click the link to add their contact information into the system!
This is how it works: when your visitors submit their information via the form, their browser sends an email to the address they provided. Your system receives the request for information and gives you an opportunity to respond.
If you want, you can also add a pop up message asking if someone wants to send information via that method.
Find your contact form plugin and click ‘activate’
When the plugin is active, you can enter your contact form code in your website or email address field.
You will then be able to add the form to your site and use it to send out emails, requests for donations, or ask for feedback on products and services.
This is a great feature that will make your site much easier to use and integrate with future marketing campaigns.
This goes into another post, so we cannot cover this in too much detail here. Instead, we will give you the basic information that every user should know so you do not forget.
Review and edit the message(s)
Once you have your form in place, it is time to add some features. You can do this either before or after the form is live, but it must be done then or it will not function.
First, click the button to edit your message. This will take you to the form’s page where you can change your text and link.
Once changed, upload the new file and add your link! This is how your visitors will get back into the system to leave a comment or call them out.
Configure the form(s)
Once your contact form is up, you can start integrating it with your site. Most major web hosting companies offer some kind of tutorial on how to set up a contact form on their site.
In this tutorial, the author shows you how to add the form to your page, give it a name, and link it to your blog. You can then list your questions or requests and let people fill in an email and submit their request.
This is done by adding the form to the page where the question or request needs to be asked. Then, when someone submits their question or request, they must enter an email that they can send a response too.
Linked through their emails is the form they used to submit their question or request, so they can look through their responses and see what questions they may have asked and expected answers to.
Add more than one form to your site
If you have only one form on your site, you can limit how many times aform can be submitted through the same form. You can only add one form per page, so if you have more than one page, you must make sure to upload them onto separate forms.
This is not the case if you have two forms on your site. You can have two separate forms that submit to the same data. One form may use a contact method such as email or Facebook, and the other uses an address such as email@example.com or your company’s pen name.
How many times each form should submit data to the system? This depends on what data each form fields contains.
Edit an existing form
If you have an existing form on your site, you can edit the form using the same process. You can make minor changes to the form such as adding a field to update or removing a field.
You can also add new forms. When hosting your site on a platform where you do not have a contact form, you can create a file called forms.dat and input your new form!
This is very helpful as it allows you to add another user to your site without creating a new account which is extra hassle.
Edit button: When adding a new form, make sure that it has an edit button! Without one, there may be problems with editing forms. If someone does not have an account, tell them to create one before allowing people sign up for their account so they can enter their information in the form.
