Selling your content and/or your services on the internet is a great way to monetize your website. Selling things like services or content can give you a nice boost of money to invest in your website and growing your business.
Selling things on the internet is not hard and there are many options. It just depends on how you want to advertise your site and how much you want to charge for it.
Create an ad campaign
Now that you have your site up and running, it is time to start monetizing it. There are a variety of ways to monetize your site, and we will look at some of these in this article.
revenue from your content and engagement with your audience is the most common way to monetize your site. You can run paid advertisements on your site or apply for paid promotion through an existing program. Most popular sites have a Patreon or Paypal Account where you can apply for paid advertising.
from your audience is the most common way to earn cash from your work.
Pick your ads
Once your site is up, running, and looking good, you can start offering your services to visitors. Choosing your ads and running a successful ad campaign is one of the most profitable parts of monetizing your site.
You can run regular ads or marketplaces like AdWords or Facebook’s ads. Or you can use influencer marketing to get people to actually spend money on your site. You choose!
Regular ads are usually $5-10 per month for around 30 days of exposure, depending on the marketplace. Influencer marketing can cost more, but it is definitely worth it if you want people to actually spend money on your site.
The second part of this is running a successful ad campaign in my opinion. If someone views your ad but does not purchase anything from you, then you should be paid! Make sure to look at your stats everyday to see how much money you are spending.
Set your price
Once you have your site set up, it is time to set your price. At some point, your visitors will pay for what you have offered them. At this point, it is important to consider what your visitors are paying for and how they will take advantage of that.
Many businesses use their website as an advertorial platform. This means that they offer their services for free, but charge a fee to promote their products or services. Since most people are happy to pay a little to get a quality product or service, this is a great way to monetize your site!
Others use their website as a place where people can find information. While someone buying my services may not think they need help with their website, it is important that they set up an account so I can add them to my site so I can monetize my audience.
Create a membership site
If you are looking to create a membership site for your community, you should start by looking at existing membership sites. There are many good examples out there, so you do not have to reinvent the site model yourself!
Many Membership sites have a fee charged for joining and using the site. These fees can range from $10-$30 depending on how extensive the membership platform is.
By charging a membership fee, the site can recoup some of its costs and offer members additional features like access to courses or competitions. Those who become members can then use their subscription to purchase products or services they need.
Creating your own membership scheme requires hard work and thought but may bring more revenue as it is your product! Look at other sites to see how they monetize their membership platforms.
Add ad blocks to your site
Once your site is up and running, you will probably want to add an ad blocker to your browser. This is especially important if you have a lot of ads on your site, as they will be silenced!
Many advertisers place their ads between content and traffic on a site. So, if you have lots of visitors, they will see the ads that advertisers place.
To add an ad blocker to your browser, go to Adblock Plus or Adblock for You (depending on your version), then select “Set up an ad blocker”. This will take you to a page where you can set various settings including: choosing which sites you want the blocker on, choosing how long it takes to load with the filter in/out, and specifying whether or not the site should be blocked when using it.
Create sponsored posts
You can add sponsors to your site by creating a new post and linking it to your site. Then, you can invite businesses to sponsor your post through email or the sponsored post form on your site.
When a sponsor invites his or her guest to join them on their blog, the guest can then earn bitcoin or digital currency in their sponsored posts. These posts are typically between two and six sentences long and come with a link to the sponsor so they can promote it.
How it works: When a visitor clicks on the link they will be invited to accept the invitation and join the blog as a guest. Once they do, they will be paid in bitcoin or another digital currency for their participation which was worth it to the sponsor.
monetize your blog with Google AdSense
If you have a compelling content series or blog post, you may be able to monetize your site even without a back-end payment system.
Today, there is no charge for hosting an AdSense account on your website. You just put your site link in the box and let the company do their magic!
This is possible due to the introduction of seamless integration with Google AdSense. Most popular plugins offer this functionality now too.
Of course, you will need to take care of your copyright and trademark notices when doing this.
set up a conversion-based ad program
Once your site is up and running, you’ll probably want to add a little something to it to entice visitors to stay. That something can be a paid theme, a membership plugin, or an add-on.
By offering users money-down plugins or themes, you can save significant money in the long run. The best way to monetize your site is through ad programs like Adsense or Amazon’s Associates program, which gives you revenue every time someone clicks on an ad.
By using a conversion-based plugin like Bitly or Google Analytics tracking code on all of your pages, you can track which actions people take on your site.
